Mandatory Photo Inspection for Insurance???

All,

Sorry if this is a little out of the topic. I received a notice from AllState insurance about some Mandatory Photo Inspection requirements for my G35x in order for them to provide comprehensive collision on my insurance policy. What the heck is Photo Inspection??? I got the car Chirstmas eve and already bought insurance and had the car inspected.

thanks...

Seems VERY unusual as that most photo inspections are for PRE-OWNED vehicles only. Allstate typically would send you an insurance photo form and a list of places (custom shops, garages, body shops, etc.) that would do the pics and form work. This is done in order to prevent somebody from insuring a pre-wrecked/pre-owned vehicle and attempting to make a fraudulant claim and collecting $$$$$ But, Ive never heard of it being done on a new car???? JBX has left the forum

perhaps i can help a little. i'm an insurance agent for minnesota and work for Farmers. but i do know that some companies will ask for photos every so often. why? well as the post above mentions, it's fraud. you will be amazed at the things people will do as both clients and agents to either pay a lower premium or keep the client. not saying it's bad, not saying it's good. just stating facts and that is probably why they want pics.

btw, amazing car. i have the 04 of the same thing.

Thanks for the replied. I called up my agent and I found out they needed a copy of the car's window sticker price as well as a bill of sale. Faxed it to them and it's all good. They needed a photo inspection if it WAS NOT a new car but since it's a new car they only needed the prove that I bought it new. Thanks!

JustBrilliantX, thanks for your reply too!.
