Exhaust swap from 04 350z

Will the mid pipe ( after the Y pipe ) from an 04 350 Z fit an 04 G35 sedan?

The 350z is short. Coupe and FX35 mid pipes are plug and play.

Exhaust swap

Is the mid pipe on a G coupe and FX better than G sedan? Basically, is it worth swapping? Also, is the intake tube ( Z tube ) advantageous over the standard sedan intake tube?

FX I have no idea. G coupe, yes. If you compare the 2, the sedan has a massive coffin looking midpipe where as the coupe has a small little box instead.

And yes you can say it's "advantageous" depending on your definition of it.

Both mods you wont feel any kick in the pants, but it will change the way it sounds slightly.

Exhaust swipe

So can I use the mid pipe from a coupe or fx 35 on my sedan? Assuming cars are of the same year?

First thing you have to ask yourself is do you want to spend money and how much? Just kidding. Which one is better or which one is more advantageous? Depends on who you talk to. The midpipes for the FX35 and G35 are lighter than the sedan midpipe. The size of the resonator and weight are the biggest and most obvious difference as mentioned by Spartan268. The sound/volume difference is open for interpretation.

I don't think there is much difference between the Z tube and the stock one. Other than looks, size, and sound when it's sucking in air. Again it depends on who you talk to.

I have the FX35 midpipe and the Z tube on my 05 sedan. I don't remember what year FX. It did change the exhaust note/tone of my sedan compared to the stock one.

Welcome to the club of modifying your car and spending money! Good luck to all of us.
