My 2005 g35x windows are streaky!?....

Haven't seen this complaint before. When I roll down my windwows, if there's any moisture on the windows, when I roll them back up the windwows don't get wiped clean. The windows look worse and are harder to see out of then if I don't roll the windows down at all. It looks like the the two rubber/feltlike strips that run along the windows and are supposed to wipe clean the water aren't gripping the window hard enough, so it's leaving the water on the window. I've never had this problem on any other car. Any ideas for a fix? Thx.

I get the same results in my 04 G35X. I didn't know they were supposed to wipe the windows, as I've never owned a car that offered any consistency in this regard. I always assumed those strips were there to keep moisture from running into the doors when the windows were rolled up, not to squeegee them. If sand and dirt was trapped in the rubber/felt strips wouldn't that eventually scratch the glass?

I've never owned a car where the side windows were "squeegeed" when opened and closed. I agree, I think the rubber is there to stop water from going into the door and to support the widow when it is partially open.
