Talking Just got a '03 G35 sedan

New to the board and just going through some threads.

It has about 90K miles and sat for about a year. I was wondering what are some of the 1st things I should do(yes, I bought a battery)?

I was thinking fluid change and the BIG question is should I do a trans service? At that mileage I'm worried, some of these trannys are better left alone with the existing fluids.

Thoughts? Sorry about the newbie question

TIA

I would start with replacing all fluids. This way you can get your timers started for when the next changes are set to be.
Battery is based on your own judgment of if it's cranking well.

And with the tranny fluid, the recommendation is to do a drain and fill. It's doing a flush that kills the transmission.

EDIT: I would also look into changing the spark plugs at this time too.

Hurry and go buy the JDM DD kit that was just posted for sale on here. It's a good price and they're hard to find

After sitting for a year, that gas might be bad. Might want to siphon out what you can and pour in some fresh gas.

So a full service, including checking the belts and tires for deterioration. Change the fluids, do a trans drain/fill and drive the car.

Use Nissan brand. These tranny's are finicky about their juice.

If it's AT, yes, stick to Matic S.

If it's MT, you use gear oil.
