any ideas? 03 g35 overheat
The car overheated took it to a shop. they replaced fan clutch, thermostat, coolant temp sensor and water pump. Drove for one day and it overheated again. Went to infiniti dealer and they said radiator. I said ok replace it. Drove fine for 4 days overheating again. Went back to the dealer they determined it has to be the heads even though both independent shop and dealer did leak down and block test and passed. So I then decided to purchase a rebuilt engine from engine usa and have a local shop put it in. Got the car back a week ago and been driving perfect till today. I seem the needle budge just a tad bit after driving for about an hour, I went to the gas station and shut off car. Hoped back in and the needle is 3/4 the way up. I let it cool down and drove about 5 miles and its at normal temp again. Theres something going on when taking long drives. This happened before replacing engine only over heats on long drives. I'm about 4 grand plus and still over heating. Any ideas? I replaced everything coolant related. This is driving me crazy.

I replaced temp sensor that controls the gauge. I never had signs of blown head gaskets before replacing engine. But I took orlando infiniti advice and replaced the engine. A friend told me it could of been a air pocket. But I put a little over 400 miles and doubt that's what it is.

Yup. Crazy part about it is I drove 45 mins to work this morning and it was at normal temp the whole time. This car is possessed. I drove it on the hottest part of the day yesterday (90 degrees outside) and this morning it was 70 degrees and it drive fine to work.
