what sz tires to put on 19" rays

I just got ahold of some 19" oem rays and I'm wondering if you guys could help me out with some sizes I have an 03 G35 sedan, normal size suspension no DROP and I don't want any rubber band tires on the wheels; but at the same time I don't want them to rub; the dimensions for the front is an 8 inch wide rim and the back is an 8.5 inch rim, I still want to be able to rotate the tires even if I have to dismantle the tire from the wheels everytime??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks fellas'

Are you AWD? 245/40/19
RWD? 225/45/19 and 245/40/19

I would look at 225/40-19 and 255/35-19. Closer to stock diameter which would be 235 and 265, but those sizes are costly.

The way the 19" Rays fit on sedans you can't go with much larger tires out back! I would go with 245/40X19's on all four corners for better handling/control at higher freeway speeds...Gary

Rear wheel drive. I want all four wheels to have the same size tires all the way around

245/40/19's should work all the way around with 19"Rays.

I don't know if there are any changes with the 03/04 Sedans and the 05+Coupe suspensions but if its compatible, you should be ok for normal driving on those.

when i had rays on my sedan, i ran 235/35/19 squared. a little short compared to stock, but it is a very inexpensive size and they also work with my sons sedan that is on bc coils turned all the way down.

245 40 19 will keep your speedo correct. That's what I did.

i had 245/40/19 potenzas on my car 03 sedan stock height and it rubbed the rear in over cetain bumps over this shows all cars are not equal because i see 100's of threads where v35s sedans with same 245/40/19 rays at stock height no problem

There's two possibilities why the 245's rubbed on your sedan, incorrect alignment or your car was in an accident and the body/suspension is not true/correct! A half inch or less would make them rub because the coupe wheels and 245's are a tight fit...Gary

Agreed, mine have never rubbed. However, mine came originally with the sport 18" wheels.

+1

245/40's should not rub if your alignment is correct and have stock suspension.

I've heard that some tire size combinations may mess with the ABS due to it not being calibrated for staggered sizing, is there any truth to this?

yes, I have heard that as well, however, as long as the "rolling circumference" of the front/back tires is the same, you are fine. Example, run a fatter tire in back, but with a smaller aspect ratio.

Front: 245 40 19
Back: 275 35 19
the difference between the circumference is the fat tire is 0.50% smaller than the front and this is insignificant to the ABS

I'm on 225/40 F 245/40 R on coupe 19s... What's the extent of the issue this could cause to my ABS?
