New G35 owner

Hi all, Im new to the forum. Im trading in my 2002 wrx wagon, that was slightly moded( turbo back exhaust, cai, and unichip) for a g35x in garnet fire. I take delivery saturday mornin. Im pretty excited, this is my second car. I see that a few members have converted from wrx to the g35. Do you guys miss anything at all, I kno that the g35 has so many more features that the wrx has. Thanks to any input or suggestions.

Jay

I live in NYC and am a student.

You are doing exactly what I did!

I went from a 2002 WRX Wagon 5MT to a 2005 G35 Sedan 5AT. Before I traded I had
suspension mods, strut bars, STi pink trailing/lateral arms, wheel/tires mods, full
turbo back exhaust, Cobb Accessport Stage 2, short shifter, Defi guages and other
cosmetic mods.

I miss the 5MT. I miss the raw power delivery compared to the 5AT. I really miss the
handling. I don't miss the catless stink.

Must be doing pretty good as a student in NYC!

I am waiting for my G to arrive. Unfortunately, getting a 6mt around the SLC area is a long wait and I have 6 weeks left to go.

The reason I am moving on to the G is I wanted a rear wheel drive, 4 door, naturally aspirated, hi performance vehicle. That limits you to few manufacturers. I will not miss the lack of torque from idle to 2800 rpm. At this altitude, with four adults and the air conditioning running, getting across an intersection or pulling into traffic was a real adventure with the WRX. I am sure I will miss the 4 wheel drive, but you can't g35x with a 6mt. Oh well something to look forward to in the future.

Good luck with your car.

Huge Mistake....Call your dealer right now. Take delivery ASAP....

So you can go out and play in the SNOW!!!!!!

A comparison of the Subaru AWD w/ the G35X in snow would be appreciated.

Enjoy

Its suppose to snow monday night into tuesday, so Ill defenitley find out. My friend has an 04 g35x and he said that it drives better in the snow than his trailblazer. I have blizzaks on my wrx right now. I have tommorow morning to drive it in some fresh powder, before I trade it in . What a way to go out but by a fresh coating.
