headlight concept
thoughts? is it too mimic-y of audi? or does it look good.
im planning on either buying those black headlight housings on ebay and adding the led strip or painting the insides of the headlights myself (i would prefer to buy the new housings and have much less aged headlight housings but my budget is restricting me considering everything else i want to do.
PS this is all i could do with paint, i was too lazy and tired to do anything else, so please excuse me if it looks terrible lol, i can go and do the other side and make it look better tomorrow.

yeah sorry lol that was the best i was goanna be able to do with what i had. but yeah I'm digging it, and its pretty cost effective considering it completetley changes the look, and looks good. the LED strip may not be as original, but it sure as hell would look somewhat unique on that car

I would suggest just purchasing new headlights that have the inside blacked out and call it a day. It is your car and your mod money so do as you please.
However if you are going to go with the LED strip I'd recommend this one from TheRetrofitSource, it has white and amber LED chips so you can run the white as a DRL and the amber as a switchback for your turn signal. Happy modding!

Oh..no..can you reverse it? It can't even be mimic-y cuz it would have to look good like an Audi...it really just doesn't. You have to take into consideration the shape of the headlights when you do things like strips, halos, dotted LEDs, etc. The verticle build of the G35 lights are very hard to accent properly. A horizontal build (like a G37) would be much more forgiving. You really can't do much for the 35 lights other than build up the actual lenses.
