G35 oil change intervall?

Can anyone tell me why in USA G35 engine oil change intervall is 3750-7500 miles, but in EU Nissan 350Z oil change intervall is 9500 miles?

Perhaps they want you to purchase more new vehicles when the engines are full of sludge and begin to fail

Oil filters are pretty small, maybe that's why. Don't know if the EU 350Z uses something else.

VQ35s use enough oil in some cases, you probably don't need to change the oil, just the filter.

G35 oil change intervall?

I have checked EU 350z uses the same tiny toy oil filters than in USA. I would say Mobil M1-110 oil filter fits perfectly to VQ35DE.

It also depends on what type of oil you use. Best thing is to have used oil analysis done and find out what condition the oil and wear metals present are at xxxx miles.

I drove my coupe (SLICK) off the showroom floor in late '03 and changed to Mobil 1 synthetic at 1K miles. I only drive her just over 5K miles a year and change oil twice a year. With 63K miles on her clock she still doesn't use oil so I must be doing something right. I've been using a catch can since new so there's zero oil in her plenum unlike what I found when installing the Motordyne 1/2" spacer. Some members go 6+K miles or more between oil changes and brag about it. For the health of my motor I'll continue changing my Mobil 1 10W/30 and WIX oil filter twice a year!

G35 oil change intervall?

I am always using full synthetic oil. I have never used minerl oil or semi-sunthetic oil. Because in my country in winter mineral and semi synthetic oils become like gel. But no problems in full synthetic. Even at -35C=-31F. Tested several times. Las oil I used was Eneos 5w30 full sunthetic. In 9000 miles it did become like water already never the less it should keep the viscosity until the end. Now I put ELF Evolution Full Tech 5w30 cause it has newest additives API.SN and price was cheap. 5L=35$. Also my car is treated with XADO additive that gives extra hardness for metal surface in the engine, It also increases compression in the engine, if cylinders are worn. My previous car Nissan Maxima compression raised from 10 bar(1.0Mpa) to 13 bar in all cylinders and only one cylinder 12.7bar. Also XADO additives make ceramic coating against wear that lasts 60000 miles. The coating is 10 times stronger than steel. There has been even test where after Xado coating in 4 stroke engine there has been driven with car almost 200 miles no harm to engine.
here is the link. http://xado.us/revitalizants/3d-gene...e-revitalizant

If you live in warm or hot climate 10w30 is more less ok, but I would not use it: Mineral oil is never as good as full synthetic and it increases fuel consumption. Why put extra money on car if it is not justified? If engine is ok I still would use 5w30 or 5w40 -They do last at 6000 miles foe sure. both(5w30 and 5w40) are full synthetic and in cold climate they start perfectly. 10W30 viscosity index is much lower than 5w30 oil thus giving less protection to car engine. Viscosity Index, ASTM D 2270 141(10W30) vs 5w30 giving 169 or 171. And also 10w30 makes your car slower, it does not make point to buy G35 coupe and make it slower willfully.

When to do an oil change is probably one of the biggest internet car forum debates going. The other one would be what octane gas to use.

Everyone has opinions. Do your research and make your own decision.

Yea ^ follow what Nissan recommends, but your motors internals will be cleaner with full synthetic...Gary

Been using synthetic in my Accord (j30a4 V6) and with 7500 mile change intervals, it never moves off the full line...and I've got 220,250 miles on it.

Going to use synthetic when I change the oil the first time in my sedan I picked up, original owner used Mobil 1 and Nissan OEM filters and there are 6 new, in the box filters in the trunk! Might switch to Penzoil Platinum like I've been using in my Accord.
