Nismo side skirt plastic clips

The Nismo side skirts use plastic clips that are different than the generic side skirts. I am having trouble finding the part number of the Nismo side skirt plastic clips. Can anyone help me????

OK Thanks, just hit him up

I dig out the Nismo side skirt installation guide and it doesnt have the part #

I thought it might help to get a VIN for a sedan that came from the factory with Nismo side skirts???

I'd like to know the OEM P/N as well.

Closest part I could find is: Toyota Cowl Vent Pin Retainer with Grommet

The measurements of the grommet match the ones used on our G's, so there's great chance that the retainer pin could work. Maybe someone with a Toyota / Lexus could help us find out?

Ray seems like you've done some homework - seems like a great find - the top male pin has a pointed tip with the Nissan part, the Toyota part you posted has a rounded ball tip. So I am thinking we would need to use the female bottom recepter too with our car.

The diameter of the Toyota head is about 1/8" smaller than the Nissan. Which should still work.
The length appears similar.

What I am going to check is the diameter of the hole in the metal frame to see if it will accept the female end. If it will then I think it might work. The only thing I could think of is if it will lock in with the thickness of the side skirt material

I could just spend 7 bucks and try it out, but maybe we can find one with dif measurements first that might work out better.

From the provided measurements, the Toyota grommets match the Infiniti's, which I have a spare to compare, so the Toyota grommets should fit without any issue. The thickness of the side skirt mounting area is about 2mm, which looks a little thicker than the gap the Toyota pins provide. My theory is, if that's the case, heat up the cap of the pin to get it flatter to give more gap. But yes the pins will have to pair with the grommets, the Toyota pin tip is different and I don't expect it to just plug right in.

Of course the OEM pins would be the best solution, but after years of searching I believe this is the closest part I could find. I could be wrong, though, if anyone has better info I'd be all over it.

SO got those clips from China
The white part fits in fine, looks identical to the Oem nissan part.
The black pin is just a hair too short.

I got dark real quick tonight so I will try again tomorrow. Maybe I will have better luck. Might try to heat the pin to lengthen it

Thanks for posting... Parts 63832E is next to the highlighted part, which translates to 76882-6P000 on the infiniti parts website. That is the correct grommet for the non nismo side skirts. https://www.google.com/search?q=7688...hrome&ie=UTF-8

The highlighted part 76500JA is the correct insert that pops into the metal body frame used with nismo and non nismo side skirts.

Still cant find the part number for the black male pine to use with the 76500JA part for the nismo side skirts

OK Have an update - I purchased the Toyota retainer clips posted above http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Cowl-Vent...mtr&rmvSB=true

I got them to work this morning. I pulled the whole side skirt off and then installed each clip pretty much at the same time when putting the skirt back on. They don't seem too strong, so I will drive the car around to see how they hold up. Seems like this is the best replacement for the OEM clips we cannot find.

Thanks for the update, and glad it all worked out! Do they need any mod to mount the side skirt? Do you heat up the pin to get more room?

Thanks for putting my theory to the test, I was too lazy to try it out myself. This is great news for us Nismo side skirt guys, be it OEM or aftermarket. Time to order a set for myself....

I tried to heat them up with a butane torch but just melted the plastic, maybe it would have worked better if I baked in the over and then pull to extend them.

I didn't need to extended them. The clips are shipped with both parts connected...very hard to pull them apart by hand without destroying them. Use pliers to grab the white end to pop the black clip out.

It might be easiest to install the black part through the side skirt and connect it to the white part while off the car. And then push the white part into the body of car.
