'06 G35X problems this morning

Hey everyone ! This morning on my way to work, the dreaded trio of lights came on. ABS, SLIP, and VSC OFF. I will mention it was 47 degrees outside, which is the lowest it's been recently. I also noticed the ABS pump motor was running. I got to work, shut off the ignition, and the pump motor continued to run. Took it into a local shop, they scanned it, and got the following codes : C1109 - Battery Voltage, C1110 - Controller Failure, C1111 Pump motor which they state has internally damaged EBCM. The estimate for all this is over $2000. The EBCM will take over a week to get, and has to be flashed. Is this estimate in the ballpark ? Or should I take it to another shop ? Thanks for any help !

Get a second opinion from an Infiniti dealer. What makes an independent shop qualified to give you such an estimate? Do they have the proper diagnostic tools (Consult lll)?
How old and did anyone check the battery or swap it out with a good one?

Telcoman, I am not sure what scanner they used to pull the codes. The closest Infiniti dealer is 100 miles south of me. I am thinking of going to another local independent shop for a second opinion. I will have to take a look at the battery and get it tested. Thanks for the reply !

Top tier AAA membership will give you up to 200 of free towing on a flatbed truck

Well worth the cost in an emergency.

Major dealer repairs will usually provide a free loaner

Telcoman, I am taking the car to the closest Infiniti dealer on Saturday morning. Hopefully , they will be able to give me a better idea of what needs to be done.

Big E, do you have a Nissan dealership closer to you than the Infiniti? They'll work on your car and usually have cheaper prices as well. Just a thought.......

Blue Dream, I couldn't even buy plastic rivets from the local Nissan dealer. They wouldn't sell them to me for an Infiniti.

Well you don't have an Infiniti, you have a Nissan... duh! Tell them you just need the 8mm push pins next time. Or Amazon always had great deals.

I think it's about time you pondered giving up smoking the rock lol. WTF do push pins have to do with the OP's issue?

Maybe I missed something.........

Took it to an Infiniti dealer south of me. Found a bad relay for the ABS, but also said I had a short in the gauge cluster circuitry that caused the warning lights to come on. Found the battery was weak as well, so had that replaced. They talked me into a replacement gauge cluster, but later determined I didn't need it , and refunded that money to me. I was also due for a bunch of 90K work, which I had done at a local Nissan dealer. So far, the ABS, Slip, and VDC lights have remained off. Thanks for your suggestions !
