So there was no oil in the engine and it seized?

FWIW a AAA membership with 200 miles of free towing would have allowed you a free tow to the nearest Infiniti dealer

Once on a lift they would have imediately showed you the hole in the bottom of the engine saving you the replacing of the battery, the other parts that you replaced, and all of the associated aggravation.

You may have been able to negotiate a decent price on a new or lease return on another G.

Can't understand why so many are so afraid of the dealer.

A similar situation only happened to me once back in 1969
My 66 VW Beedle died on the Grand Central Parkway in Queens, NY
AAA towed me to the nearest VW dealer in Queens Village. They showed me that a valve had broken in one of the cylinders and damaged the piston.
The dealer gave me $500.00 for it as is towards a trade in on a brand new 69 VW that had a price of $2050.00
So for $1550.00 i had a brand new car with all new parts and a warranty. I had that vehicle until 1991 with well over 100,000 miles until I sold it for $100.00 as the floorboard on the drivers side was rusting out and you could see the roadway while sitting in the drivers seat. Still ran like new

Oh snap, that is a big azz hole!! So you guys never saw a big puddle of oil or heard some sort of loud bang when you were driving? It makes my heart hurt to see a VQ in that state.
