2006 M35/M45 suspension -> G35

Alright call me crazy but I am pondering the idea of putting the stock NEW M35/M45 suspension into the G35's. Yes it is crazy. I would only find this plausible if the price were cheaper than going aftermarket which probably isn't I mean this is supposed to be a much more expensive car and all. I'm just hoping you guys. I would love the fact if the M uses the same layout which i highly believe as G35 C & S. I myself have a G35 sedan sport and the suspension is nice and sporty but it could be more fine tuned. Especially when driving over uneven or bad surfaces which the stock suspension handles kinda badly. I just know on smooth surfaces etc. it's reallly nice and exactly what its made for. I read that the new M's suspension is really nice as it allows sportiness and comfort. If you guys didn't know go and read some test drives on freshalloy.

Remember I would only swap suspensions if it were cheaper than aftermarket. I just like the idea of it i dunno. Geez i'm getting my hopes up cuz I'm sure it will be expensive. What dose a coilover system cost like $1,300+ ?

The suspension is probably interchangeable, but I doubt that it would give you the benefits you are looking for.

Depending on the specs, you may find your car sitting 1 inch HIGHER and floating around like a Cadillac.

Besides that, wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy a M?

The M has a much stiffer chassis than the G35. That will contribute to the M feeling much better over bumps. The G35's chassis is a wet noodle compared to the M

No workie.

The M suspension is designed/calibrated for a vehicle that weighs a lot more than the G. You would lose the exact benefits you are speaking about.

Yup, jus curious. i knew the front end was stiffened and the M weighs more. I just had to say it out loud.

It's hard to say if the M will use stiffer spring rates then the G or not, I haven't driven one I have no idea how they valved the shocks either. Biggest problem I see is a lower number of buyers moving out of their oem suspension's. Without a large pool of parts collecting dust in M owner's garages, good luck seeing decent pricing on used oem stuff, kinda drills a hole in the bottom of the ship before it can even set sail, IMO. Biggest hope I will hold onto with the M, maybe it will be a source for stiffer linear springs for the G, without having to lower the car.
