Seat Repair
I have a 2003 G35 sedan, black with wheat/sage interior. The front passenger's seat bottom has a tear in a perforated leather panel. How much should it cost to have the seat bottom cushion repaired?
I have a quote of $442 to replace the 3 perforated panels on the seat bottom, with a leather that doesn't quite match the existing color. I'd probably be happy to pay that if the color matched, but I'm concerned that it will shout "repair" because of the mismatch.
Does anyone have experience with finding a correct match? And how much did it cost? They can replace the entire seat bottom cover with a part from Infiniti, but it will cost almost $800, and no color-match guarantee because the existing leather is 13 years old.
