2005 G35 Sedan Turn Signal Issue

Good Day All:

I am new to the site. Just purchased a 2005 G35X sedan. For the most part a great car and lots of power. Only issue that is troubling is that on occasion, the left turn signal arrow on the dash will not flash, even though the lights outside are working and the flasher relay is clicking. Very strange. Any advise?

Might be a burned out bulb in the gauge cluster. The only way to tell would be to pull the cluster and look at the backside.....

I think it's an LED instead of a bulb.

In that case, I'd say a loose solder pad.

Sorry I could not reply sooner. I come to find out if I hit the top of the dash over the cluster, the arrow lights up. This only happens for the left turn signal. Any ideas?

I think it is just age and slightly limited solder or something, my '06 has the same left turn signal go out most of the time, sometimes at night you can see it faintly light and like you said sometimes tapping the dash makes it come on.

I also have my odometer at half brightness due to one bulb out and my "Set" for the cruise control active is either dim or dead at times which is the only one that actually bothers me.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll have to live with it.

You could always pull the cluster, remove the bad LED and replace it.

Time consuming, yes.
Pain in the azz, yes.
Doable, absolutely yes..........
