I recently bought a car from one of my friends, it had been sitting over the winter. It had ran fine when it had been parked for the winter. Car sounds fine, taking off shifts fine, but is a full 2 seconds slower to 60 than it should be. It seems to be missing a lot of power in the low end, and if you floor it whom going 50 or so, it hesitates for about a half second. It's popping up a few different codes, but both were not performance related. So I was wondering if I could get a little help, considering I know very little about these cars.

Be very helpful to know what the codes are. Usually you can plug the codes into the search function and come up with multiple threads addressing the issue.

Thanks for the response, I looked them both up before, and one was a emissions issue, which I looked up. It didn't have any symtoms matching this. The other one was a air intake temp sensor. Which I also was told was not performance related at all.

I'd start with the basics, check the plugs, air filter, exhaust restrictions, etc.

Air intake temp issue=pulls timing=decreased performance.
Emissions issue=Limp mode or other precautions to avoid system damage(?)=decreased performance.
Fix those first.
