Shocks Replacement Questions

I have 03 G35 Sedan with sport suspension. It's time to change the shocks but I would like to keep the same feel as the stock. From what I read so far the Tokico HP will be the closest match.

When I checked online stores they didn't have a set for the RWD with the sport suspension. Is that correct or do I need to order them with a specific part number?

What other parts you recommend replacing while I'm replacing the shocks?

G35CO in reality Tokico's are overkill and a much harsher shock than what you need! KYB shocks will give you a factory ride for as long as you own your first gen sedan. Check our Marketplace under vendor suspension or for the best price! If you're concerned about other suspension parts find an independent brake/alignment shop in your area. All they deal with is suspensions 8 to 5, five days a week. Tire stores like Goodyear and Firestone along with many others don't have the knowledge to do quality suspension work...I don't trust/like part swapers!

What you found online is correct. OEM manufacturer is Tokico. KYB is just as good. Neither Tokico or KYB make "sport" specific versions for the sedan. They both match the sport spec in their "base" shocks. Basically base model drivers would get a free upgrade to "sport" shocks.

Sedan Base, Sedan Sport, and Coupe Base are all the same struts/shocks. Coupe Sport is different because they come with higher spring rates. Coupe Sport shocks on a sedan wouldn't ride very nice.

You don't need mounting kits, but it's a good idea to just replace everything with new stuff all at once.
