Best mods for peak hp gains

Hi everyone, this is my first post in the forum. A few weeks ago i bought a 2006 g35x and while it is fast enough for my liking i have a friend with a 08 maxima that he did some sh** exhaust work on and now he boasts himself as the king of modding. So my question is what are the best mods i can do to add some hp, i was currently thinking about getting a motordyne plenum spacer and motordyne manifold, and a stillin z intake tube, i wasnt planning on installing a cai because ive heard they don't do anything but lose hp because of the hotter air with the metal pipes, so any insight on that would also be much appreciated. Thanks!

What is modding? I've never heard of it. HP gains? What's that? Hewlett Packard? Hokey pokey?

A sticker on your windshield is the best mod you can do!

Phastmas, please disregard the other comments. The mods you listed are good and maybe will get you an extra 10 whp without a tune but if you get a tune it'll probably add around 15-20 whp.

6 speed G35 sedan
Art Pipes were the biggest gain I felt on my car. Plenum spacer more subtle but seemed more energetic after 4000 rpm.

If you're looking for big gains, turbo, nitrous, supercharger or an LS swap (its been done but not sure about with AWD).

Phastmas, "Welcome to G35 Driver!" As a new member I suggest you use our SEARCH if you have question and READ all the stickys at the top of the coupe page! The knowledge you'll obtain will make you way smarter than your Maxima friend. Example: Stillens CAI/Ztube is made of plastic composite, being the best on the market it will not lose HP from heat or anything else! Plus is changes the sound of your engine for the better unless you have "Granny mentality!"
Again, Welcome to Driver...enjoy the ride!
Gary
