Good Morning fellow G enthusiasts I need a step by step guide on how to remove the rear bearings from my 2004 g35x sedan. I plan to tackle this job over the weekend. Also does anyone know the correct part numbers for the hub and bearing. Thanks guys I appreciate it!

Find a pre pressed hub and bearing unless you can press it yourself or have someone you trust do it. From experience even good bearings fail sometimes so any brand will do really, as long as they're not crazy cheap. You're going to need a 32mm axle nut socket and a slide hammer+5 lug attachment from auto zone. You really need to beat the snot out of those to get them out sometimes.

Same hub/bearing as any 03-06 rwd car. This falls true for nearly the entire rear suspension, including shocks/struts. The differences are in the front. Part numbers will vary from mfg to mfg

Check RockAuto, Amazon or eBay for parts/numbers.

Good luck. Seriously count on giving it your all with the slide hammer. Some don't like to let go, some fall right out.

hey guys quick update I was able to fix the passenger rear bearing today no problems the old one fell right out no slide hammer was needed. I bolted on a whole NEW assembly with the bearing pre pressed and I drove it today no sound! But quick question I want to change the bushings on the driver rear side preferably the one where the rear shock bolts onto the spindle. I want to know where to purchase the bushings from and part numbers, thank you!

That's great to hear. Go to the dealer and tell them you need a rear shock mount bushing, they'll pull the pn for you

I am in the middle of this process, what a pain it was to remove mine. The 4 bolts holding the hub assemble were a B!tch to remove and then the hub was frozen on tight. Tried tapping it, etc, nothing. PB blasted it and a gear pulley and she finally popped free.
I could not find a pre-assembled assembly o I ended up getting a Moog bearing and bringing it to a shop to get pressed on yesterday. They said they close at 4 and would hopefully get to it, no call yesterday so the car sits.

Since I had it down that far and the rear rotors were pretty rusty, I decided to buy rotors/pads for all 4 wheels. Plan on doing 3 of them today and finish the other when I get the hub back on.

I have been searching all the usual suspects Autozone, amazon, advance, Carparts, looking for a rear bearing/hub assembly. It seems a dozen or so suppliers offer the assembly for the front, I can not find one for the rear. I don't have a "local shop" that I have dealt with and would pay more for parts to not have to deal with pressing off and on. Where did you find the complete Assy.

I didnt find a complete assembly, just the bearing, for around $40.
I took it to a tire place , local chain store (I never dealt with thrm before)...they charged me $50 to remove the old bearing and press on the new one.
Just call some shops, anyone with a press can do it, it is a 10 minute job at best.

On a plus note, it fixed the rear end noise so worth it!

I looked all over the web for a complete assembly to avoid the hassle of finding a shop. I couldnt find one. Googled it, saw pics of rear assemblys but no one carried them.

There are several offered on ebay, but so far did not find any of a known brand.
May jut have to find a shop.
