Anyone else get the extended warranty letter for the evap tube?

15 years or 150k miles. Currently at almost 148k so I need to call the dealer. A hard to fill condition when getting gas is a symptom of the tube being clogged or partially clogged. Have this occasionally, but not regularly.

I got the letter too. Interesting considering we're the 2nd owner. Not sure how Infiniti knows I have the car. I've had the won't fill problem a couple of times as well where the pump will shut off repeatedly at about half full. It made me concerned that my gauge was going bad and wasn't indicating the fuel level as has been discussed often. But it hasn't happened often enough for me to have any real concern or to take it to be looked at.

On and unrelated evap system note.... I resolved my evap code (P0455) this weekend by removing and testing my vent valve. It wouldn't actuate with 12V applied so I sprayed some cleaner through it and shot it with some silicone lube. The SES light that has been on continuously for several months is now off. We'll see if this lasts or I have to eventually replace it.

Only had my sedan for a few weeks and had the gas pump not want to fill up the tank on my first fill-up. Thought I was crazy and not doing it right. Lets see if i get a letter or not.

Once I started filling mine up every time I got gas, I haven't had as much of a problem.

I actually got that letter for my Armada. My G has the only fill up halfway problem occasionally, though it's been happening more often lately. I was looking on Infiniti Help and noticed that there is now a second TSB for hard to fill tanks. This one is related to the evap tube, the old one is for some vent cover inside the gas tank.

I have over 200k on the G, so no free fixes for me.

I was premature bragging about fixing my evap code. Code is back so I'm ordering a new vent valve. No fillup problems though.

I got the notice too. Dealer said the problem will manifest itself as gas spraying out at you while filling up I guess. Currently at 113k miles. I plan on bringing it in to see if it has the problem before my car hits 15.

Opened mine using my wife. She looked at me and said "Who would want someone to tear their car apart to fix that?!?"
Granted, at 39.5yrs old, she's never pumped gas into a car.
Mine has the htf condition. Now what's the DIY for this fix, while I'm fixing my gas gauge anyways?

I called the dealer since i can never fill my tank to all the way to full. Both dealer i called told me this recall is only for cars that you can't fill gas at all.

I got the letter recently but have never had an issue filling up. So I probably won't do anything about it......

I'm surprised I never got the letter. I've had my G35 since new in '04. My lately will usually fill from just under 1\4 tank up about to about 12 gallons worth before the pump shuts off. The gauge is usually at about 85% or so at that point but hasn't gone up to completely full in probably the past 5 fill ups.

I went in after receiving the letter also, & they told me that I didn't have the issue. However, there was a recall for the front airbag system. They replaced part of the sensor unit & raised the seats up a little. Only took them about an hour. So you guys might want to check into it. ( I went to Crest Infiniti off of 121 for those of you in the North Dallas area.)

Last time I checked my VIN, I didn't have any open recalls. Really was expecting it more for my '04 Accord than my G35 though. I know Crest, closest Infiniti dealer to me.
