2006 G35x - Exhaust Recommendations

There are a few threads on this, but would like to hear from both Bosal and Stillen folks.

2006 G35x Daily Driver, 110,000 northern miles. Replaced muffler with a stock unit at 52k, inlet pipe had broken. Now getting a worsening "cabin drone", especially at ~2700 RPM. Snugging down what's left of the catalytic converter heat shields made no difference.

April-2017, flanges between the resonator pipe and the aforementioned muffler were repaired with this cheap fix:

Exhaust sounded fine afterward, but as I said, worsening now. No external holes.

Catback options for this AWD: Stillen Gen 2 (some say it gives cabin drone), $1084 delivered. Bosal, $390 delivered, from Rock Auto.

Not concerned about performance enhancement, just a replacement-in-kind of stock, without the $1700 Infiniti price tag.

Recommendations? And thanks in advance!

I have the Stillen Gen 2 straight piped, it sounds lovely even at low speeds. Drone? not so much, I dont seem to be bothered by it at all.

Thanks for the link. What do you mean by straight-piped?
