Hot water and a little extra car wash soap, you can cover it in paper towels to trap the moisture so it soaks for an hour and keep working at it. Some bugs' insides are practically glue.

All the more reason to wash your car every week

Can we assume (not my favorite word) you've done the high pressure hose thing? Warm water, Dawn detergent and a pot scrubber will remove those bug remains! Approach gently don't rub hard, this mixture won't damage your grille but don't get it on the painted surface!

Don't be afraid to take the grill off either, literally takes me under 60 seconds. The trick to the ones in the front corners, use a flat blade screwdriver, the piece you turn is a "diamond" that needs to rotate 45° so it fits in the "square" hole behin

ThenThen you can soak it overnight in your bathtub, should make those bugs practically fall off on their own.

If you've let it go long enough, the bug guts will actually etch the finish and permanently damage it.

So true^^

Also bird **** which is very acidic will eat through your clear and paint in extreme cases if it's left on the finish too long.

Depending on what the bird ate it can destroy the clear in 24 hours, especially if the fruit was fermenting on the ground (like mulberries), that **** is the most corrosive poo I've ever seen.
