AWD with Winter Tires??

Hey so Winters coming up and New England weather is no joke, and having alot of hills in my city doesn’t help either. I got a set of stock wheels in the garage I was planning on putting winter tires on em and throwing them on this year once the snow hits but I got some new AS tires that have bout 5k miles on em. Is it worth having a Winter Set with AWD? Last year I drove with AS tires and it wasnt horrible but there were definitely times where I was slipping like if it was RWD.

Winter tires make a HUGE difference once you start getting a little ice on the roads, I would definitely swap them out. If you only run them during the crap season you'll probably get the full 5 years out of the tires, just don't go all crazy on the dry surfaces.

Yep ^ don’t run them when average temps go above 60* out. They really are amazing in the cold weather.

Here's a better check out www.thetirerack.com for winter tires they'd recommend, they sell for wholesale. Mount them on that extra set of wheels so when that morning comes and you've had 3' of show while you were sleeping, you'll be able to leave your garage.

I go to my local Firestone for my tires. Theyre cool people and I have a lifetime alignment plan with them. Also the shipping on tirerack is too much for me lol.

Firestone is one of the places I avoid like the plague. Discount Tire has the best pricing on tires that I have found anywhere and I trust them with my car. Firestone will never see any business from me ever again.......

Or me! My local Sears just had their automotive section close, that's like doing everyone a favor!

National Tire and Battery is my first choice. They always have deals going on.
