schematics / parts fiche / coolant leak

Hi,

Got a coolant leak running down the left side of the oil pan

Started slow a couple weeks ago, leaving a softball sized puddle, now its running out freely as soon as the engine warms up.

Seems it might be the coolant pipe attaching to the block, or (???? i don't know) Any other ideas?

What is your favorite site to look up / buy parts? I want to be able to look at the picures

Is there any online service manual, or schematics with more detail that parts fiche type illustrations?

Thanks in advance.

Happy New Year to all

Clean up the motor so you can see through the grime, buy an inspection mirror and a good flashlight, usually you can spot a coolant leak from the top of the engine bay with a good mirror and flashlight. Once you identify the exact spot of the leak post a picture here and folks can offer advice about how to repair.

If you cant spot the.peak from the.top jack it up and remove the splash guard, shouldn't have any issues then.

can see the leak coming down the left side of the oil pan, possibly from the coolant line?

if the water pump gives up is there a channel in the block where the coolant spits out? if so is it on the left side of the motor?

There is a weep hole in the block near the AC compressor bracket. You still need to work to the point where you can literally watch the coolant flowing from the exact point of exit so you don't end up replacing unnecessary stuff. It could be the o-rings failed on the pump or it could just be the thermostat housing/hoses.

I don't know where you are located but as I write this it is eleven degrees above zero here in NJ
Nothing like waiting until the coldest weather of the season arrives to fix a problem that you noticed weeks ago.

Use a coolant pressure tester

Good luck
