Talking New Tips

If I put longer tips on my stock muffler that are longer than the stock tips, will there be any louder sound? If so, can longer tips be bought and put on our stock muffler?

The reason I'm asking is because the 05' tips are longer than the 04's, and the exhaust sounds louder.

It's not that the tips are bigger, but it is because the midpipe is different in order to give it that slightly more aggressive sound.

So the 05 Midpipe is different than the 03-04? Is it similar to the coupe midpipe?

05 definitely have different mid pipe but it not the same as the coupe. The resonator is a bit less restricted but it is still the same shape. I still think the coupe has a better mid pipe.

Well either way, the 05's sound a lot better then the 03/04's.
