Shift Boot Replacement

Shifter boot replacement. After changing out the shift **** to a Blox ****, the boot didn't match up. As shown in the first photo. So I ordered a Sickspeed shift boot as a replacement. I actually like the lighter color tan. To remove the shift boot body panel piece. Looking at the shifter from the back seat, lift up under 4 and 6 o'clock and the piece will pop out. Now you can remove the shift boot from the shift boot ring. First of all, the new boot is bigger and needs to be cut, it's actually oriented that one side is longer than the other. So be sure you have the right angle. Now you will need to put holes and cut notches for the new boot to fit. I just used a pair of good scissors, but a leather awl would be better for the holes. These are shown in two photos. Be careful as you will need to have enough of a "lip" to pull over the boot ring and seat back into that panel piece. The new boot has a PERFECT fit! The shift boot ring fits perfectly under the new shift **** and looks all stock!
The original shift boot
