So I apparently have a bad coil pack, while troubleshooting this and looking for a replacement, it came to my attention that i currently have hanshin coil packs but I thought the OE was hitachi? Should I order hanshin? Or would the difference in manufacturers really matter much? Only planning to get the one for now.

 

I don't believe the coil pack manufacturer will make much, if any, difference. My grandma's Camry V6 had a coil pack fail about a year ago, and I replaced only the bad unit with one from Autozone. Car has been running fine ever since.

 

Agree with the mixing of coil packs. On my old RAV4 with V6, I had one go bad on the back of the engine near the firewall. Since access was difficult, I bought 3 new coil packs (of different versions and part numbers from the OE units) for the back and left the front ones original. It ran fine with no issues until the front ones were due for changing.
