I have a aftermarket front bumper, including custom rims and tires and a few accents of black.
Question 2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan Questions

Just recently join the website, I was wondering if anyone had any mods that would improve proformance and which modifcation should I buy first that would make the most bang for your buck because currently I'm in college and don't have tons of time to work and earn money. In the title is my car, a 2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan. So far for performance I installed a new air intake, and a muffler delete. Budget wise I'm work with around 1500 and I was thinking on spending 500 on Raceland Infiniti G35 Classic Coilovers. Any Info is appreciated!

First question would be 5AT or 6MT?

Yep tranny is the most important question because it determines exactly what engine you have, 2005-2006 sedan, 2005-2007 coupe with the 6MT came with the rev-up engine which has a different priority for performance parts.

Personally I would shore up the REST of the car first, poly rear diff bushing, subframe bushing inserts, if 6MT then short throw shifter (prefer B&M), RJM clutch pedal.

If 5AT then your biggest performance adder is swapping out the rear diff for something with more aggressive gears, the 5AT uses 3.3, 6MT uses 3.5, the 2007+ G35 uses a 3.7 but that's getting pretty steep and your highway mileage rpm suffers immensely at that point. Also the TransGo shift kit.

If I had to make a priority list it would be this.

FIRST correct ANY deficiencies with the vehicle, interior, exterior, powertrain. Especially all the suspension bushings, wheel bearings, shocks/struts, etc.

Then...

5AT, in this order, 5/16 plenum spacer, coupe exhaust midpipe, rear diff bushing, rear subframe bushing collars, 3.5 VLSD diff from a 6MT, transgo shift kit, High flow cats, HR y-pipe, UpRev tune, Hotchkis sway bars.

6MT, in this order, rear diff bushing, poly subframe bushing (not just spacers on the 6MT), B&M short shifter, RJM clutch pedal, lightweight (14 lbs) flywheel, MREV2 + 5/16 plenum spacer, HR headers and HFC, HR y pipe, UpRev tune, Hotchkis sway bars, 1 piece lightweight driveshaft.

If you don't mind the car being really loud then throw in a true dual exhaust from a reputable manufacturer somewhere before the UpRev tune. It's not that big of a gain though, the stock cats are definitely a restrictive point though. HFC ideally so you can pass emissions, if you are considering test pipes I would only look at the ART pipes, they are the quietest test pipe option.
