I have been getting an occasional check engine light P04455
It says I need to replace the Canister Purge Valve. So first I look on youtube to see if this is a DIY and the videos are the replacement of the Canister Vent Valve which is attached to the canister under the rear of the car. I also am told the canister purge valve is under the hood.
So I look on RockAuto and learn there are two separate parts, a Canister Vent Valve Selonoid and a Canister Purge Valve/Selonoid.
The Vapor Canister Purge Valve/Solenoid has OEM Interchange Numbers: 149309E010, 149309E011, 149309E01A
and the Vapor Canister Vent Valve / Solenoid has OEM / Interchange Numbers: 14935AM600, 14935AM60A, 14935AM60B, 14935JF00A, 14935JF00B, 14935JF00C, 14935JF00D, 14935JF01B, 14935JF01C, 19316227, 19935JF00E, 2282647
So, I don't know which I am supposed to replace as there seems to be a mixing of vent and purge in discussions plus I can't find the purge valve or any videos on replacing it.. just the vent valve.
Can someone please help me understand what I need to do? Even Auto Zone who pulled the code gave me a sheet where the item is called both the Vent Control Valve andthe Canister Purge Valve.
Thanks

Thanks for the link but the recall is no longer active so I've got to figure this one out myself. Back to the original question.. trying to locate the purge valve.. assuming the vent valve/selonoid is the one by the gas tank. Thanks
