Gas

just wanted to know what grade of gas you put into your G35? I have a sedan and the dealer recommended 91 grade. I live in CA and $20 only gets me a little bit before 1/2 a tank. thanks

Use the search feature my friend. Use keywords like 'octane' or 'gas' or 'mileage' and you'll be flooded with data.

A place to start here...

I've been using ARCO for the past 2 or 3 years ('cause it's cheaper and it's also the most convenient gas station to me). 91 octane at ARCO is 91 octane at Chevron, Mobile, Union 76, etc. How gasses differ is in the additives (mostly detergents from what I remember) they put in. (BTW, ARCO does add their own additives).

ARCO is like an outlet store...ARCO buys "extra" gas from the other companies since it's cheaper for the oil companies to sell it at a discount rather than store it for long periods of time. I think since they tend to be cheaper, the perception is that it's inferior gas (I'm guilty of having this same perception, and they even used to be a client of mine!), but it's the same stuff as all the rest.

Hope this helps.
Thomas

Your dealer is right, just read your owner's manual.
