Tire pressure sensor

Does anyone know if you have to re-initialize a sensor if you take it off the rim, then put it back on?

Man! I kinda figured you didn't have to, but the dudes at the infiniti dealer kept tellin me that once its removed from the rim, it is deactivated... thanks for the input guys
