I run 245/45/18 tires, although I will likely go to 245/40 or 255/40 next time.

The Enkei wheels are inexspensive, pretty tough, and they look decent (I have the hyperblack finish).
.
i have the same wheels but in 45mm offset. i also have 245/45 goodyear eagle F1 GS-D3 tires. now i put my stock sport wheels on a scale when i took them off and i belive they were ~46.5. the new combo was around ~48-49lbs. I do not remember the exact #s but the 18s were 2-2.5lbs more weight per wheel. next time im going wtih a 245/40 which should weigh less.

If you don't have budget constraints for wheels take a look at HRE wheels. Some of the nicest wheels available IMO.

As far as air delivery/exhaust. K&N drop in filter, Z-Tube, MD plenum spacer and a Borla or Fujitsobs cat back exhaust. Top it off with a Technosquare ECU reflash. Shouldn't be too loud and you should show some good HP improvements.

I thought that you couldnt do the dual stillen, or anything for that matter for the sedan. I thought there were problems with it fitting under the car. Am I incorrect in this? Because dual would be the way to go all day if it is a possibility

Just installed SSR Comp 18" wheels with 245x45x18 Goodyear Eagle F! GS-D3 tires on my 2003.5 Sedan. What a difference in the corners!! I previously had the 17" six spoke stock wheels with the imfamous Turanza EL-42's. The corners are sooo swet now. And to top it all off, the SSR's are 15.4 lbs ea.

You are incorrect. Stillen, Borla and many others are dual exhausts.

I have the Borla True Dual Exhaust on my sedan.

It's in SoCal, but you can send your ECU to them.

After looking at their website, I have a question. If I "re-flash" the ECU and THEN add the mods (exhaust, intake, etc.) will the ECU adapt to them, or should I ad the mods, then tell them what I have done and THEN get it "re-flashed"?

Get your mods done first and then send it in for reflash although I still don't believe in the whole send in your ECU and hope for the best when it gets back. The safest thing would be to actually get your car tuned at the shop on a dyno but obviously not everyone can do that.

After I got intake, plenum, cats & exhaust - I found that I was running lean (Check your #1 spark to verify) so I got the reflash... knowing that from then out I would need reflashes (about $150 per update) every few perf-mods or so. Luckily Tadashi is only 45m from my house.

The ECU will adapt to one or two mods, but has problems with combinations. You need him to look at your timing, temps if you replace the tstat (if an early 03 sedan AT not based on the 350z ECU), Nitrous requires fuel map changes, A/F's for intake/exhaust combos. Bonuses include higher rev limit and removing of the speed limiter.

My next reflash will be coming up here soon. I'll be posting a pretty big update by next monday.

tadashi does not have one program he just overwrites your ECU with and returns it to you. He does take the time to tune for your mods. I've sat there and watched him do it, line by line.

-Ted

Skeleton_cru, I understand what you are saying now. When you said dual I thought you meant comparable to the coupe dual. I am sorry. I see the light now. Going to get my Stillen Catback this weekend and still working on the right rims and right tires. I think thats all I am going to do. I dont want to take it too far.

garywh, I like those SSR COMP's....I think they are the lightest I have found so far too. Someone posted that the stock were 25lbs and I believe you said that these were 15 or so lbs. Is it the premiuim wheels that are 25 pounds or the other ones? I just want to cut some weight out of the tires while injecting some style.
