got a question about system of X
got a question about system of X
VDC and atteza etAWD
do they work independently??
for example, if i turn off VDC
AWD would still work and grabing the road itself rite??
i noticed that VDC sux because when i do a quick turn with sliding
it lock the power so no matter how much i step on gas, no respond
so i would like to turn it off so i could have more power at end of curve
and back on straight.but i don't know that if VDC off, AWD would still work could any one tell me please ><

I am actually interested in this problem as well even though i dont drive a X. Isn't the effect of VDC lowers very if the car has a AWD system?? I know you can potetially still able to spin out in a AWD car without VDC but isnt that a bit hard in normal situations??? How do the two systems work together?? AWD sends power to the wheel that has more traction but VDC cuts power if a wheel spins. Isn't the functions of the 2 systems kinda self-contradicting??
From my recent "spirited driving" adventures, I can say that they operate independently. When I feel the need to slide it around a little, I just turn off the VDC. When taking a corner hard, the back end starts to come around then you can "feel" the front tires grab and pull you through. It takes some time getting used to, but once you know how it works, it's a ton of fun. BTW, the "SLIP" light still illuminates but the VDC does not affect the throttle. Hope this helps.
