Best Dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area?
Best Dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area?
Hi all.
Does anyone have an opinion as to who is the best dealer in the SF Bay Area? There are like 8 dealerships within an 80 mile radius. I am willing to travel a little for a good deal. Where did you have the best experience and who is giving the best deals?
Much thanks.

I had a good experience with Peninsula infiniti, though they weren't very willing to haggle on the 6MT sedan when I bought it (paid $1700 over invoice). There were no strange fees, only tax and DMV. I talked to a salesman by the name of Johan, he did a great job.
I would avoid Frontier infiniti. I walked right up to one of their salesguys and told him that I'm buying a car in the next few days and that I would like to test drive a G (I had my heart set on a 330i at that point). The salesman blew me off and told me that the dealership policy is to offer test drives after you have put a deposit down. WTF is up with that? So I went to Peninsula, Johan let me drive three different cars and I bought my 6MT sedan the next day, right off their lot.

I also bought my sedan from Peninsula. The salesperson was Sammy. At the time Peninsula had a large inventory of sedans. He allowed my wife and I to test drive two different sedans to help us decide which one to buy. The entire sales transaction was very satisfactory. We quickly arrived at an acceptable price and there were no surprises.
Peninsula's service department is first rate. The driver's door has developed a mysterious rattle/knocking sound. Peninsula has made it their mission to fix it. (We initially thought the problem was with the window lift mechanism. However, the noise was still there after the lift mechanism was removed from the door - so I'm told.) At first, I took the car to Niello because they were the closest Infiniti dealer. Actually, I took the car there three times. Each time they said they would fix the problem only to tell me later that they didn't get around to it.
Niello's service department did fix a separate noise that was in the rear of the car. However, the service manager complained to me that he did not want to work on the window problem because he "already had spent six hours on the car". What an attitude! If he was not happy doing warranty work he should have complained to Nissan, not to the customer. I'd rather drive the 100 mile round trip to Peninsula for service than the 25 mile round trip to Niello.
On the other hand, Niello's parts department is very helpful and courteous.

Re: Best Dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area?
Infiniti of Fairfield is awesome, Glen Amboy is the internet sales manager. I live in Sac, but after I built my car on infiniti's website I did a dealer search and Fairfield was the only one who had exactly what I wanted. I emailed them and it was awesome, no games $ 520 over invoice and they walked on water for me. I had my local dealership and my broker trying to find the exact car and beat their price and they both tried for over 2 weeks to no avail. I highly recommend, they are a new dealership only 7 months old and are trying to build a reputation.... I was in and out of the dealership in less than 45 minutes and most of that time was them showing me all the goodies! Good luck!

Ive been working with Ronny at Peninsula for a while now...great guy. Havent started haggling yet but will definitely check costco pricing and see how they compare for an 04 6MT in Diamond Graphite

Re: Best Dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area?

Re: Best Dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area?
After checking out Concord, Pleasanton, and Peninsula, I bought my G35 sedan on may 1, 2003 at Frontier Infiniti in Santa Clara. Ask for Larry Underwood (fleet manager). Cool guy and gave me a great price. Prem., sport, & Aero for under 35k after taxes. No other dealerships would bet the price he gave me. Might wanna check him out.
Re: Best Dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area?

Re: Best Dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area?
Yeah, they are the same owner. Are you talking to an fleet manager? Also, try go make your purchase as close to the end of the month as possible. (Signed my papers last day of April) They will be willing to go lower as to increase their quota.
