05 Sedan Sport Tuned Package Wheels

Auto parts store recommended Mothers Billet Metal Polish for polishing the wheels on my 05 Sedan with 18" Sport Tuned Package Wheels. The product label says it can be used on "billet, forged and finely cast aluminum, brass, gold, and other polishable metal." It does say it's "NOT recommended for gold plating, chrome, anodized, painted or coated metals"?

Is this safe for the 18" Sport Tuned wheels on my G? Many people have told me that these are forged aluminum wheels, but aren't these painted also?

I just want to be 100% sure before I use this stuff! Thx.

I am not 100% sure, but I think the wheels are clear coated to protect the finish of the metal. I know the wheels that came on my 05 X are. I think some soap and water along with a good wax are what you are going to need.

When I last washed these wheels. It felt as if there was a coating on it. They feel nothing like the summer wheels that I have. The summers are chrome.

I wouldn't use it as any polish has an abrasive. Your wheels have a clear coat on them that will get damaged. Now if your wheels do not have a clear coat, then go right ahead as it will give them a killer shine like these
