Hi

Hi, new to the game here, just want to introduce myself. I'm glad to see this forum where I can get info for the 35. First question, what are my options for exhaust for the 35? I'm wanting something that sounds great but doesn't sound coined "ricey" and I guess that isn't to loud esp. when driving on the highway. Thanks much appreciated!

Welcome. I am a realitive newbie as well. The current exhaust options I am aware of are stillen and borla. I believe there are a couple more options out there, but those are two to start off with. Other should probably add more.

If you are concerned about noise at highway speeds, then make sure you check out a Borla or Stillen in person if possible. Quite a few people have got them and removed because of droning noise at highway speeds. I've gotten a ride in a Borla and it was quite annoying unless you always crank the tunes.

I suggest the coupe midpipe, it's quick and easy to do, and cheap especially if you get a used one. Also, it's got great low end tone at lower rpms and good sound at full load, but pretty quiet at cruising.

I have had the Borla on my sedan for about a year and a half. I don't find it annoying at all. The same goes for my GF, parents, friends, etc. You don't often hear of people complaining of a drone from the Borla TD exhaust. The sound of the Borla is deep yet subtle until you open up the throttle. At WOT it's amazing.

I've had the Borla for a year as well... nothing sounds sweeter at WOT, and I don't even catch the droning anymore. I don't know if "quite a few" people have had it removed... I only know of two, and one was for sponsorship purposes while the other was for a cranky neighbor.

Someone took of their exhaust because a neighbor complained? That’s a drastic move just for a complaint. Plus a loss of money.

well
i have stillen catback, and i know there is droning issue..but the 3k + rpm's horsepower gain and the "WOT" sound is worth it...btw, i don't think i can hear the drone anymore..lol..maybe i am deaf now..

I too remember my first beer...

My favorite part of this scenario is when the neighbor, stressed from years of inconsiderate behavior from the juvenile G driver, comes rushing out the front door with a large handgun and shoots the obnoxious driver 6 times in the head. The scene closes as the rest of the neighbors applaud in thanks.

^^That was a joke..
