I purchased my G35s last weekend, and was pleasantly surprised by the capabilities of the "sport-tuned suspension package." I am used to "slamming" my cars, and was looking to drop my sedan approximately 1.25" all around.
Would a coilover system such as the Tein Basics ride SIGNIFICANTLY rougher than my stock suspension? With my previous cars, I never minded a tooth-rattling ride, but I want to retain some quality of luxury with my G35.
Any advice would be appreciated.

If you're used to slamming your cars, and you're reasonably happy now, you'll definitely want to do SOMETHING before long. I found that the fairly stiff sport suspension softened up quite a bit after about 5k miles. Others chime in if they feel the same way.

If you're looking for a coilover system with a softer ride check out the HKS Hipermax LS or LS+. The "LS" stands for luxury sedan and they are designed to retain the more comfortable luxury ride. I have the LS on my sedan and I love it.
