Crappy Gas Mileage
Filled up at the corner store; 93 octane, Sunday night; drove to work & back all week (99%freeway miles)... I read this thread then went out to the car which is low on fuel (low fuel light came on while driving home)... I have 402 miles on this tank and could drive a few more but will fill up next time I leave the house...
I will check the gallons it takes to fill up and post it here later but it should be what I usually get during the weekdays which is around 25MPG; weekends get down below 18 at times

Because of the price of gas I tried a little experiment. I drove an entire tank without any jackrabbit starts, etc kind of like a limo driver. I got about 1.3 MPG better than I usually get or about one gallon extra per tankfull. So I justify my usual driving habits as only costing me about $2.50 per tankful, obviously not too much cash.
So go ahead and drive aggressively, it isn't really costing you that much.

The best I got on my recent cross country trip was 29mpg. That was out in the middle of nowhere Wyoming on I80. I rode that up to almost 500 miles before starting to panic about needing fuel.
Around the city I get 17-19... if I can control myself.

I get 16 - 16.5 on purely stop n go city driving and 23-24 on highway and that too i drive a stick which is suppose to give better gas mileage
This is one big problem with this car and defintely the gas mileage shud increase -- i was pleasantly surprised to see some are getting decent mileages

Hmmm . . . I have 1900 miles logged, thus far. I'll just say, I'm getting not so good mpg. LOL . . . Looks like there is hope for my G after all. Perhaps after a few more miles, I'll drive a bit more conservatively.
I am at the end of the first tankful of gas in my 05 G35X. It is around 300 now, probably will end up around 320 or so. Probably 60 city, 40 highway driving. We have been taking it easy though, no revs above 4000, no full throttle yet. Plus the dealer filled it up with 87 octane - cheap bastards.
