Is $650 too much for a 30k service?

I can't believe the dealer wants that much for a 30k service! I also want to give them 4 new tires to put on (Avons) and he (dealer) mentioned it would be about $25 for each tire. I mentioned that he wouldn't have to perform the tire rotation and balance with the 30k service and he said that he could drop the price "a bit".
I've used another garage for maintanence work on a previous car, and that guy does excellant work. So I'm wondering if I should just take the car there for the 30k service and then to Infiniti to take care of some warranty stuff.

If you look at what they are doing, it actually is not too much.
Tranny flush/refill
Diff oil change
oil and filter change
brakes?
etc etc
You could have someone else do it for you.
Don't let them do stuff not called for in the manual,
itemize all thay do and decide if it is worth it.

I would only do what is necessary most of the things they check are not items that need checking for some time.. If the dealer insists I would go to another mechanic to get only the service that is needed. I used to tell the acura dealer to do about 1/2 the checks. They usually just need to replace the air filter, tranny flush, and motor oil. If you want to check you brakes out you can do that as well..considering how the brakes are in our cars..
It's a matter of how much you value your dollar. For me, $650 was too much... (we covered this topic a few threads back). How much was your 15K service? Now go to the service manual and compare what is required+recommend for the 30K service vs. 15K service, then go look through the list of "dealer recommended" extras and make the call yourself.
