People who do this kind of thing infuriate me.

If they have a problem with you or something you did, why don't they take it up with you? What the heck did your car ever do to them?

It's almost impossible to catch this kind of thing too - all it takes is a close pass by your car with a key held waist high and you're pumped. Even if you're standing close by you wouldn't be able to tell..

It's a shame and I hope you are successful in getting it 'invisibly' repaired..

If that ever happens to me, im screwed as my deductible is 1k $

Anyone know if my premium would go up for having them fix something like this? I mean, its not like I crashed or something...

I think I know who did it. Just not sure what to do about it.
Your right, you have a problem with me then be a man, ring my doorbell and tell me to my face what your problem is.

BTW,

it doesn't seem like it is down to bare metal but down to the base coat.
My deductible is $500.00. Anyone know what the best way to correct this is?

I work for a bodyshop and nothing pis$es a guy off more than to "F" with his car. I was in Denver visiting a friend and saw someone keying a car and me and my buddy beat his azz and tied him to the rim of the car and left a note for the owner how angry do you think he was? !!!

Someone keyed my Miata within the first couple weeks of ownership. I had the side repainted and it has faded over time compared to the stock paint. I wish they had a device that would shock the F out of anyone that dug a key into the cars paint. My G is a week old and I fear some jerk will key it for no other reason than jealousy.

Sorry for the vadalism bro. Some people need to be shot and p'd on.
Have it repainted and make a claim thru your comprehensive coverage.
If you know who did it, send him the bill instead.
C.

What a shame. I've been through two of these myself in the past two years. It's frustrating as heck.
Good luck with the repair.

Sorry to see that, that sucks big time. It will probably happen to me sooner or later because the G is such a beautiful car. A lot of @ssholes have no respect for other people's property these days.
