05 Tranny different?

Well I got my 04c in the shop, and got a brand new 05s, both auto.. well heres wat i observed. seems like 05s have a different tranny, or at least it programmed differently. I downshifted from 4th --> 3rd, and 3rd --> 2nd.. both times, the rpm will jump quickly, but the car wont slow down immediatly like the 04 auto, the drag down is like gone.. it feels almost like when you tip toe and downshift a 6MT. Also, when upshift, seems like its more percise, and also, seems like the gear ratio is a bit different (not sure), but for sure shifting is quicker than 04..

I think it might be my imagination for the upshift, but definility for the downshifting.. anyone experienced that?

I believe that the '05 auto tranny [at least in the manual mode] has some sort of rev-matching.

the 05's have rev-matching so the rpms jump during downshifting to match the gear and speed accordingly....its an awesome improvement in my books, it make the downshifting seem seamless, although you will notice it at certain speeds and rpms depending on what gear you are shifting from.

Oh thats a cool feature.. but now, the thing is.. you know how on regular auto tranny, they said it a bad thing to downshift, bad to torque convertor.. now wat about with the rev-matching feature.. is it gonna make it better for the torque convertor?? Now i want a 05!
