So frustrating - can't find wheel wipes

Both Black Magic and Turtle Wax make them...

I don't have easy access to a hose - so I"m looking for wipes that won't damage my alloy wheels, and I believe you can use at least the Black Magic ones without rinsing.

But - I have gone to 3 Auto Zone's, 2 Pep Boys, 2 Wal-Mart's, 1 Target.

They all have Black Magic products. They all have Black Magic wheel cleaners. They all have tons of different wipe products. But NONE of them sell these things and it is awfully frustrating.

I have an 05 X, and do have brake dust issues. I want to clean them at least weekly. The car detailing gods are working against me.

I remember that someone on detailing was using Swifter antistatic wipes. Might want to give them a try. I have aftermarket wheels that are more open than the stocks so cleaning is easier. I just use a bug sponge and wash them when I do my weekly car wash.

Ok now I have additionally gone to Sears, BJ's, Kmart, and Rite Aid. (I happened to be there)

They ALL carry products from Black Magic - some a lot of their products... But of course - no wheel wipes.

Pretty damn annoying.

You may have to order them on-line. Just do a search on Yahoo and type "Black Magic Wheel wipes". Pep Boys had them on clearance for $1.50 each. I was wondering why. It seems like they were trying to get rid of them and not carry them anymore. I used to get them at Wal-Mart.

Wow very interesting. FYI though - still listed on Black Magic's website. (blackmagiccarcare.com)

I have known about online sources for a while - but buying locally sure would be more convenient. (Don't know how well they work, low cost - shipping kills it, being home for package delivery, etc...)

Tonight I took my car to a basic touchless car wash for $7. Prior to going in though I used self service "wands" to pressure wash my wheels. That combination seems to have worked nicely. It would be worth $10 weekly to keep my car clean. (Wish I had better facilities at home to clean it myself though)
