If you stick a cone filter on the end of it you will be sucking in hot air from the engine bay. Consider a K&N drop-in filter with the stock air box. If you're still stuck on the cone filter idea, look at the JWT Pop Charger. Another option is the Z-tube with the Stillen Air Box. All those products can be purchased from both the sites I listed.

Next time try:

RichK,

Are you using Z-tube with regular filter or K&N? I looked at the Z-tube picture looks the same as stock. Does it make a better engine sound?

I've read Z-tube with regular filter or k&n and z-tube with pop charger? Which combo makes a better engine sound? I rather just stay with k&n or the stock filter and not the pop charger but I am afraid the pop charger might be the one pulling in the better sound.

Also, for all you Z-tube people out there, when you bring your car to dealer for service does anyone say anything about the Z-tube?

Nobody has said anything about my Z-tube when my car has been in for service. Even if somebody were to say something, what could they do? It's a genuine Nissan part.

I chose to top my Z-tube off with a Stillen airbox (which uses a K&N cone filter) because it looks so similar to the stock airbox.

I have a K&N drop in filter with the polished Z-tube. Sound at WOT is awesome. However, during normal driving, it sounds basically stock. Also at highway speeds it sounds quiet too. I didn't want a loud car all the time, just when it needed to be. Plus, the polished tube looks great under the hood.
