I just skip that stuff. Dyno runs are always important information. So aside from the bickering, this thread does have its usefullness.

Talk all the crap you want about 1/8 or 1/4 mile drag strips, they rock. I love legal, organized racing. And as for you acura boys, buy a Honda they are lighter.

It belongs where it was, in the archives. Please don't bring back old posts.

Oh, MAN! And I had a serious question.

Actually I did. I was curious to see if the print out showed RWT at 5MPH, 10MPH, 15MPH, etc. I'de like to see what the numbers at low speed are.

hmmm.... 1/4 mile dynos don't consider the effects of aerodynamic drag forces and traction between tires and the tarmac or ground....

what do you mean?

If it is what I think you mean, people still read the threads/acheives. Many people could have been misinformed without knowing. I think it is very important that we correct the error and label this dyno as a mustang so that we know the $$$$$ he invested was not a complete waste.

so if someone does a search and digs up a topic and posts in it they could get flamed for that too double

today's lessons
so lets seee don't search = get flamed
search and post = get flammed
post but have someone disagree with unfriendly terms = get flammed
flamming = flamming

I am glad you brought this up becasue I have been trying to get opinions about the validity of road dynos or how the numbers compare to the drum type dynos.

If he's not a moderator his opinions on bringing back old posts aren't worth reading and should not be taken so seriously. He was just bitchy and I'm sure if he's not into the old threads he won't be back. obviously this is useful and should continue.

Road dynos will typically show lower numbers. I've never dyno'd on anything but a dynojet, but several people agree that Mustangs produce numbers in line with "observed" road-dyno simulations. Look up posts by MechEE.

Here are a few threads in which he's posted and shared his thoughts on dynos:

yeah I should have know better...after reading the entire thread that trying to add any humor to this would be an excercise in futility.

I was able to get some good info from this though.
