Trunk Cargo Net-do you use it?

I threw the clubs in my G this weekend and when I arrived at the course it was a pain getting the bag out. I have a stand bag and it seemed the net would catch on every edge and made removing my clubs pretty difficult. Is there any reason I should not to remove the net when transporting my clubs?

Thumbs up Yes I do!

I use mine each time I go to the store. It keep the wine bottles from rolling all over the trunk and also keeps stuff you don't want smashed (eggs, salad, bread, etc) from getting crushed. If I don't want it, I stash it in the bag I bought for the car cover that's in the trunk.

I found mine was always in the way cause it is mounted so high and whenever I wanted to put anything such as a suitcase etc. in the trunk it was in the way. I deep sixed my trunk net within the first month of ownership .

The first time I put my clubs in I had the same problem with a stand bag. Now I put them in upside down. Problem solved.

I too use them for groceries or wash bucket or whatever.

I acutally came to like the net. I just throw anything that I know will be rolling, bouncing, slamming around in the trunk when I take those turns too fast. My backpack sometimes get caught in the net when I try to take it out, but that is a small price to pay for a broken laptop. Later.

Constantly - milk jugs, wine bottles, etc especially. When I have to haul lumber or long items and use the passthru (sometimes the wife has the truck), I'll undo the top two clips for the net and drops neatly to the floor. Don't remove, just undo the top part when needed. It's much needed for groceries if you do any quick corners and the like.

Once I figured out the dealer installed it upside down, I use it all the time, if it gets in the way of a bulky object, I simply unhook it, no big deal!

Love it... took the clips out, though. Need to put them back so I can use it.

I too use it every time I go to the store, or to put things in I don't want rolling around. When I'm not using it, I take the top clips and attach them to the same place as the bottom clips so it's out of the way. I love that thing.

This net is much better than the net "shield" (not wrap-around) that was in my last car. I love it - it works

I agree, much easier for getting the sticks in & out w/o the net.

I leave it fastened on one side only.
Hook up the other when needed.

Yes, all the time. Never had one in a car before and I appreciate it more every time I use it.

I keep it in a small box that I have in the trunk when it's not called for. Clipping it in only takes a couple of seconds.

The wife likes it too.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'll try just removing the top clips like many of you suggested.

if you have ever had to clean spoiled milk out of the recesess of a trunk then you will come to adore your net. My last car had one but wifey neglected to put a gallon of milk in it. subsequently the milk spilled in the trunk. she got most of it out but not all. about a week later a horrible smell starts to develop in the car. it got to the poit where we wouldn't drive the car then finally I cracked. I found the milk had saturated all of the trunk insulation and the insulation under the back seat. I had to completey tear apart the whole back of the vehicle wash it down and replace all of the sound insulation. From now on, groceries go in the net
