I just bought mine yesterday. Diamond Graphite/Black interior. Sunroof.

$31,318 +TTT , no dealer fees! And thanks to good credit I qualified for free GAP insurance.

My car should be arriving soon.

Question

I bought mine in North Carolina in May. I got an 05 Automatic Sedan with Premium, Sport, and Aero packages for $33,600 about $500 over invoice. I did a 39 month lease and with the taxes included in the lease the monthly payments are $460. Originally the dealer offered me payments of $515. I told him that everyone else buys these cars for $500 over invoice and he immediately came back with the offer that we settled on. What kind of payments are everyone else looking at for a lease?

Oh yea I was trading in an 02 BMW 330i sedan. I took it to Carmax and they offered me $1000 over blue book trade-in. I took the quote to Infiniti and they refused to match it. In fact they refused to buy the car. They said they could not come within $3000 of that offer. So I took it to car max and had my check in about 45 minutes.

What are your car details, is it a coupe/sedan? Auto/manual? AWD?
What is GAP insurance, can someone explain please?

Why have you posted this same question to like 5 different threads. I think that quote is fair. Did you compare it to edmunds.com? Why do you "wanna be able to do a lot better?" What are you basing it on? You need to know invoice, msrp, and what others are paying (like Edmunds TMV) to figure out if you are getting a FAIR deal.

Don't go into negotiations thinking you are going to get the BEST deal. You want whats fair.

I find that price hard to believe. What was the car again? It was an 05 G35 Sedan right? Automatic? With Sport package? The MSRP of that should be at least $34000 and you are saying that you got it for $31000 with taxes included? Was there any other discount included in that? Five finger discount maybe?

Unfortunately, no, its not a five finger discount. 2005 G35 sedan, automatic, with 17 miles on the odo, brand new with sport package, and sunroof. I have purchased 7 vehicles from the same dealership, and am accustomed to never paying near invoice.

mpgxsvcd, I am glad this thread was brought up. I pulled my paperwork from the dealership. I put 1600 down, and the total FINANCED was 30931, which means I paid a total of $32531.00. Thanks for the heads-up, I started triple-checking myself after I posted.

You need to include the MSRP and the price you paid for it. Otherwise, it is meaningless to compare. Actually the real way to compare is how much you paid above the dealer's invoice.

gap insurance comes into play if your car gets wrecked or stolen and covers the difference between the amount of the loan the worth of your wrecked or stolen car.

that way, after your insurance company appraises your car, you wont still owe money on the loan.
