Did you buy from a private seller or dealer? Does the title show salvage?

Have you asked them why they think the car's been in a flood?

Perhaps there are water/corrosion marks on the chassis somewhere?

If it has a clean title, then they cannot deny warranty work. Call infiniti corporate and complain. Then goto another dealer. This is BS.

Also contact the seller and let them know about the issue. Could you supply a link to the ebay auction. I want to review it.

Unfortunately, you can not trust carfax. This is an important lesson - get a quality, independant inspection before you buy from anyone - including someone on eBay. Flood damage that does not rise to the leve of a title change in a state (varies from state to state) will NOT show up on Carfax regularly. And even if the title changes the car can be taken to a number of states, returned to "normal" and then get a clean title. This stuff will not always show up on Carfax.

You can trust me on this.

Get an independant inspection now and if there is flood damage go after the seller, if there isn't go after the dealer.

Homeslice is correct. Dealers get around R titles this way by taking a car that was totalled in one state and selling it in another. Nothing you can do about it.
Suggest you take it to a garage that you trust and see if they can find out what is wrong with it.
