What quality would you be talking about? I like Volvos for what they are and own one, but compared to Nissan and Infiniti, their reliability, fit and finish and construction sucks. I have replaced the headlights, turn signals and brake lights on my Volvo over TWELVE times in three years as well as the light sockets. In over thirty-five car-years of Toyotas, Hondas and Nissans, I have never had a major repair and only about two minor ones. This is representative if you look at any really statistically valid sampling like Consumer Reports. Toyota, Honda and Nissan have a reliability record over the past seven years that completely outstrips any other manufacturer, European or Swedo-Detroit (read Volvo-Ford-Jaguar)

Im 19, my family has had a s80 for a couple years and ive driven it for many many miles and we purchased my g35 a week ago and i can easssssssilllllyyyy say that the g35 crushes the volvo in everything except a couple of things, safety and the sound system. Besides that, the g35 is far better than any volvos, even the s60r. The s60r has basically the same interior as the s80 with just a better engine, however the g35 is constructed much better overall. g35 hands down.
