Allow me to pat myself on the back - paid it off in less than a year :-) Now, I could sleep in the trunk if everything goes to pot.

I got it Labor day 2004 - It was to be financed for 5.5 yrs - I got a crappy interest rate because I was stupid so I'm glad I got it off the books.

Congrats on the early payoff. It's a great feeling to know what you're driving is all yours. Kudos.

Congrats. I have 2.9 so I'm in no huge hurry, plus my son starts day care next week...ouch. I did some balance transfers to 0% credit cards to pay the Harley off in less than a couple years (interest rate sucked) and then paid the card off within the no interest period. I work for a credit card company and they actually have a term for doing people who work the system...they call them "rate tarts". Too funny....

Did the same thing when I bought my G35, got 5 year loan and paid it off in less then a year.... Doing the same with my 350z roadster, paying $1200 a month so it will be paid off in 16 months.. I figure best to get 5 year loan then if things slow down at work im not hurting to make the payment.. but if things are good at work then to pay it off quick
