The "SLIP" and "VDC" light is on.

Like the title says my "SLIP and VDC" light are on and now I can't turn on or turn off the "VDC". Anyone have any ideas why would this be? Do I need to change anything?

thx.

Read your manual. This means there is a malfunction with one or both of those systems. I can't remember what it is specifically, but it is discussed in the manual. You'll most likely have to visit your dealer.

The thing is I can't find my MANUAL. It supposed to be in the car but oh well.
My dad is a mechanic so he will just see what is wrong, but wanted to get ideas from u guys before my dad gets a look at it.

I just had my entire car go nuts on me last night. First the "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON". So I pulled over, turned off the car, and when I started it back up, most of my lights on the cluster were on, and the car would barely move. Barely limped it home, turned it off. Went to the geeerage this morning, started it back up, everything normal? WTF? 05 sedan with 7700 miles?

Go to infiniti.com and sign up in their ownership area. You will then be able to download a pdf version of the manual. This is very handy, since you'll be able to do a keyword search in the pdf version.

And one weird thing happend too, when i was making a u-turn, my front right brake got applied some how and the car just like went to it's knees, and only that one side brake got applied, so it just pushed the car to the ground. Don't know WTF happend to it.

sounds like a VDC sensor issue, or a faulty brake switch or something.

Isn't that what the brake light TSB was all about? Take it to the delaer. I believe there is a TSB for this.

Yes there is a TSB on this one related to a faulty brake switch.
Dabomb10 is right tho, it's in the owner's manual which you should have, and definitely could be related to a malfunction in the VDC or ABS system.
Tell the dealer about that too and he'll get one for you.
In the meantime be careful driving it and take it in ASAP.
C.

Alex,

A similar thing happened to my G (4k miles). On mine, the 'engine needs service' light went on. It was on for about 3 days then on the 4th day, I was on my way to work, made a quick stop, the vdc and slip lights came on and the car barely moved!

Turned the engine off, started back up and the vdc and slip lights were gone.

Drove straight to dealer and they ended up changing the throttle body. I guess this was the 1st time the dealer has done this on an 05. I guess this was a known issue on 03/04.

Car's been running fine since.

For future reference - there is an owners manual online @ the Infiniti site that you can always turn to.

Check your brake fluid level. I had the same. Dealer was perplexed but in his babble he did say 'it might be low brake fluid'.

Cheap fix.
